Managing Director

Mike Chase is a founder and Managing Director of Health Business Partners. At HBP Mike has advised clients in the nutrition and consumer healthcare industries in completing over $170 million of transactions. Mike has advised food, dietary supplement and ingredient companies as well as retailers. He represents owners of companies interested in selling their businesses as as well as buyers interested in making acquisitions.

Mike has recently advised The Shansby Group in its acquisition of a $70 million healthy food company and assisted Thorn Ledge, Fairfield Farm Kitchens and DMV International all consummate acquisitions. Mike has advised the owners of Oakmont Investment Co., East Earth Herb Inc., Custom Nutrition Services and McZand Herbal Inc. on the sales of their businesses.

Mike began his investment banking career at PaineWebber Capital Markets, where he completed $4 billion in transactions including leveraged buyouts, private equity and debt offerings, and interest rate swaps. Prior to founding Health Business Partners, Mike was a Director at AT&T and Nets, Inc., a business-to-business e-commerce company, where he had corporate development and general management responsibilities.

Mike earned an A.B., cum laude, in Economics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School.
